Taxes and your Healthplan

Tax season is upon us again. Suzie Health Solutions an Enrollment Center with the Washington Healthplanfinder, we have been printing these forms and answering questions for years without charging a fee.

The tax season runs from 01/24/2022 through 04/18/2022. If you have not heard then you want to file electronically and choose direct deposit. Seriously, they are starting the year with a tremendous backlog

One of the forms that you need to file your taxes is the 1095. There are three types.

The 1095 - A is provided by the Washington Healthplanfinder for it's clients for paid plans. In Central Washington these are Ambetter, Community Health and Lifewise. They are available on the account and can be reprinted. If the application is closed then it will be mailed. This form is required when filing taxes

The 1095 - B is provided by the Health Care Authority for clients that have enrolled in Apple Health. This form will not be mailed; it is accessible to download in the client's Washington Healthplanfinder account. The 1095-B form is not required for filing taxes.

The 1095-C is provided by and distributed by the employer when you have a group plan. The 1095- C form is not required for filing taxes.

You should receive your 1095-A Form by mail no later than mid February. It is available on the Healthplanfinder.  You must file a federal tax return if you recieve or plan to receive tax credits that lower your cost.

The cost of healthcare is lowered according to your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI). This is based on income made in the current calendar year.  It does not appear as a line on your tax return. If you are a tax expert and can understand the IRS rules then great. We are not tax experts so we often refer people to seek out advice if they do not know.

If you need a 1095A reprinted and are a customer to Suzie Health Solutions then let us know or stop in our office at 1630 N Wenatchee Ave, suite 18; Wenatchee, WA 98801.

Cheap Health Insurance, Washington Healthplanfinder and Enrollment Centers

The Washington Healthplanfinder started the Full Service Enrollment Centers about six years ago. Some are run by small businesses (brokers) and some are run by corporations (navigators). When the Healthplanfinder put out the request, we seemed to be a good fit. There are some rules to operate an Enrollment Center.  1. Easy access to the public and open year round. 2. Enhanced Security and Insurance. 3. Experienced In person assisters.  4. Offer all plans regardless of pay.  5. No additional fees.  From our experience of working with insurance for nearly a decade. Always select a broker. If not us then someone connected to a Enrollment Center. You are already paying for them ($0 Dollars) and if you need assistance or have questions then you have a prepared customer service team. It is an easy way to support a small business and help build a community resource.  Special Interview with Coordinated Care CEO There are enhanced features such as ability to assist with Long Term Care, Life Ins
