Health Insurance Enrollment in Douglas and Kittitas Counties Washingoton.

Why Douglas & Kittitas Counties

We are looking at roughly 5700 people in Douglas County and another 3600 in Kittitas County that are going without Health Insurance when they have access to a resource that will assist them. We are looking because many of the counties in our area lowered their uninsured rates prior to Covid 19 shutting down everything March of 2020.

Currently, we have a Covid Special Enrollment in Washington state. This means if you don’t have healthcare or want to switch from COBRA or a Health Ministry then you have until May 15th. We have been seeing a lot of first-time enrollments this year so here are some tips.

1.     There are some terms that you may not be familiar with or understand them differently than being used. Assisters are there to aid and if you forget something during the year call up the enrollment center and they can assist you.

2.     Have a idea of what your current income is and budget for healthcare is. About 70% receive a discount on paid plans and that is based on income for that year.

3.     Individual Healthcare is different than Group plans however you can get highly trained help at the enrollment centers to assist you through understanding and selecting a plan.

4.     Not every plan has a high deductible and there are ways to cover deductibles. If you are concerned, it is not a big deal as other people have asked the question and your assister can fill in coverage gaps.

5.     If you want to end the struggle, then use one of the 11 enrollment sites around the state. The closest enrollment center is run by Suzie Health Solutions in Wenatchee.

Wenatchee Enrollment Center is set up for in person, phone, and virtual appointments. We have a 509-phone number and our main office is located on Wenatchee Avenue. Yes, we are a real mom and pop office that have been assisting people understand healthcare six years from our Wenatchee Location.

If you want assistance with getting your COVID vaccine, we set up a bot on Messenger to help out. You can send “covid” to Messenger on our facebook page. Or click directly on https://m.me/InsuranceWenatchee?ref=covid . If you need the phone numbers click on the Need More Help button at the bottom and you will have access to appointment setters.

The big issue is getting the word out that people can get health insurance. We even created a video with Ricki Lake to promote enrollment to share: https://fb.watch/42fgy2whiR/
