Washington Health and Medicare Insurance Enrollment

It's October and we have started the Enrollment Season. The last couple of weeks, we have had people with Covid call us looking for Health Insurance and people losing their coverage due to opting out of a vaccine mandate at their work. It is our job to educate and enroll people in insurance regardless of their position.

We are the Enrollment Center located in Wenatchee. Enrollment Centers are unique to Washington state and there are only 11 of us. We work with the Washington Healthplanfinder and can be found linked to their site. We have to go through special requirements like explaining every plan and not charging any fees. Some of the brokers sites like The Suzie @Wenatchee Insurance work additionally with Medicare plans and Life Insurance so that you have additional opportunities.

We saw a big reduction in the cost of Healthcare because of the American Rescue Plan. In Washington state we enrolled thousands of people into plans for $1 or less starting in June. These lowered rates will run through 2022 so we are expecting a continued push of people getting healthcare in record numbers.

Set your Appointment Now for assistance

Here are the basics.

  1. If you don't have health insurance then you want an immediate appointment. We will have to either establish an account or clean up an old one. We want to have everything set for Open Enrollment.
  2. If you want to look at Medicare then October 1st through the 14th is the sneak peak.
  3. If you want to make changes to a Medicare Plan then October 15th through December 7th for plans starting January 1st, 2022.
  4. If you want to enroll or change a health plan then November 1st through December 15th for plans that start January 1st, 2022.
  5. If you enroll in a plan from December 16 through January 15th then your plan will start February 1st.
  • Bonus if you are receiving tax credits and have a big income change then you want to make the change December 1st through December 15th to your Healthcare Plan so you do not disrupt your current enrollment situation.
This will be our 9th Enrollment and we make it as easy as possible during enrollment and even answer questions and provide assistance during the year. It costs you nothing to get assistance and we just ask if know someone that needs assistance in Washington State to let them know that we can help them.

Additional fun.

Additionally, we are doing some Medicare Advantage Sales Seminar for Health Alliance. It is a no obligation explanation of all of the changes for their plans for the 2022 year. This will take place every Saturday during the Enrollment Season in our office.

These are fun if you are more comfortable in a group setting. You can even bring a group of friends. It's a great way to find out about the changes.
