LGBTQ Pride Month is coming.

We are a couple of weeks away from Pride Month. Matt got into supporting Gay marriage early because that was the only way to get equality when it came to retirement planning. The model in Washington State of domestic partnership didn't allow people to roll over annuities and forced them to cash them out early. Matt has been advocating for equality for a while. Here and Here and here

So let’s get down to some reminders before June arrives.

1.       The American Rescue Plan Act will significantly address LGBTQ Poverty.  We have been talking about this since last March and are enrolling people that need healthcare and making sure that they are receiving eligible benefits. There is a Special Enrollment right now.

a.       The Increased in tax credits is a massive change so if you have skipped health insurance then shop. In Washington State the new pricing goes into effect the month of June.

2.       If you are assisting people to enroll then we suggest going to the Out2enroll.org site to brush up on training. It is the one that our Enrollment Site used. We have had to clean up more than one account.

3.       The protections for the ACA are back into effect. Yes, Section 1557 prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, and disability in any health program or activity receiving financial assistance. This was important because there were providers that were denying care and people were literally dieing.

4.       In the Wenatchee Area, if you want a Pride Flag then now is the time to contact Wenatchee Pride with a $20 donation. To make a donation you can visit their website at www.wenatcheepride.org  and donate to Paypal Gives and email us at pridewenatchee@gmail.com to set up a delivery/mail/pick up location and time for the flag.

SAs the full service enrollment center for the Wenatchee Washington Healthplanfinder, if you need assistance do not hesitate to contact Wenatchee Insurance or one the the 11 Enrollment Centers located throughout the state.

We are on the front lines at Suzie Health Solutions . When someone loses their job and needs healthcare then they come to us. We have been helping people with little or no money sign up for healthcare since 2013. We literally have our finger on the pulse of the economy and healthcare. We started seeing businesses adjust their income last fall. We knew that it was going to be rough because hard news is not the easiest to look at. Check out our podcast for more info. Well how did we get here? We were in trouble before Covid got a strong hold in the United States. 1. Our country's pandemic response was disassembled from the very beginning of the current administration. On Jan 13,2017, the Joint Obama-Trump transition team goes through a series of pandemic-scenarios. Most of the individuals are no longer with the administration. Funding and personnel are cut to key areas. 2. It has been politicized by the administration . Trump's tweets were bad and his rally'...
