Healthcare Special Enrollment in Washington State

During 2021, we are looking at the first Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to allow people seeking health insurance coverage to get coverage. Due to COVID-19, the Washington Healthplanfinder opened up our ability to assist people getting healthcare. (Normally, you have only from November 1st through December 15th).

413 N Mission street, Wenatchee  is one of the eleven full service enrollment centers located in Washington State. We assist people year round in making changes, uploading their documents, understanding healthcare and enrolling in plans. We do not charge fees for our services.

What you need to know:

This SEP begins on February 15, 2021 and runs through May 15, 2021.

This SEP is for those currently uninsured as well as those who are enrolled in other health insurance products – including short-term limited duration plans, health sharing ministries or COBRA – who are seeking coverage alternatives (anyone not currently covered through Washington Healthplanfinder).

Current Washington Healthplanfinder enrollees are not eligible and may not change plans (this does not apply if an enrollee experiences a qualifying life event that allows for a plan change).

We have to make a request for approval from a programer so it could take 24 to 48 hours before we can shop.

Individuals have 60 days from the date the SEP is approved to enroll in and submit their plan selection.

Enrollment follows the 15th of the month rule. For example:

o Enrollments that occur before the 15th of the month will have a coverage start date of the first day of the following month. If you enroll on February 15 then your plan will start March 1st.

o Enrollments after 15th of the month will have a coverage start date of the month after the next month – the second following month. If you enroll on February 16 then your plan will start April 1st.

Reminder: Enrollment is offered year-round to individuals and families through Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) and Native American Health

The easiest way to catch us is make an appointment using our app. You can set the appointment for in person, over the phone or even screen sharing. It also sends reminders to you about about the appointment. If you call us and you catch the machine then leave a message as we return calls.

We also podcast regularly about Family, Small Business and Insurance on Suzilla. So check us out for more details.

What happens if the next company doesn't offer a plan? We have seen companies terminate life insurance policies for retirees. Do really want to leave your family high and dry for a short term job? What happens when you die? Your bills don't go away . A majority of adults say a fu

Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Drug Plans from a local office.

We do a lot of work with the Washington Healthplanfinder as an Enrollment Center for Healthcare. Seriously, we are open year round answering questions and enrolling people in healthcare. When Suzie first started transitioning from being a Pharmacy Technician, she wanted to lead helping Medicare Individuals with their plans.  Yes, we assist people with Medicare. We stock materials Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Drug plans so that we can help with questions at our office in Wenatchee for your initial enrollment. Most people can enroll into Medicare plans 3 months before their 65 th Birthday, the month of and 3 months after their Birthday. Folks also can delay enrollment if they are covered by   plan through work. We can do a lot over the phone however sometimes there is nothing like having a complete enrollment packet in your fingertips. We like to take the time to do it correctly and it is not a problem to answer questions through the year. The best part is that we can as
