COVID 19 Special Enrollment in Healthcare

Since we are a Full Service Enrollment Center, we work all year round in assisting people get healthcare. We do this with out charging a fee. There are eleven spread through out the state with different skills. The broker groups are able to fill in gaps and often are able to answer Life and Medicare questions. We happen to be in Wenatchee.

We keep track of what Covid 19 is doing at this site. The Washington State Department of Health is another great site. It literally tracks the resources needed to fight it and gives a good representation of infected and forecasted death rates. Yes, this is serious stuff in that we are looking at 1600 of our neighbors being killed by Covid 19.

Covid 19 has forced some businesses to remain open because they are essential.  If you need to report an non essential business breaking the law then here is the form. While some groups focus on helping small businesses during the crisis, or individuals. The first round of relief checks will be in a few weeks from the IRS (always file your taxes). Our focus has always been keeping families going. We didn't forget that it is a healthcare PLAN or that LIFE insurance is set up prior to a fatal condition.

Right now until May 8th in Washington State,  if you need healthcare  then let us know and we can assist you navigating through the system. We don't charge fees and it does require some time. Some plans like Apple Health require income verification by the Healthcare Authority. This can take as little as 24 hours. If you are receiving unemployment then you will want to upload the letter from the unemployment office that includes the amount of your benefits. We can do this or it can be done using the Mobile App.  If your income changes more than $150 two months in a row then you need to update the application or you could be paying money back or be paying to much for healthcare.

When you have a plan then to be tested for Covid 19 then it costs you zero out of pocket. Healthplans also have a maximum out of pocket and if you do not know what it is then ask. All of the plans on the Healthplanfinder have Tele-medicine so you can call or video in and get help. These Tele-medicine should be set up before you need them and come in handy if you are traveling in the future.

If you lose healthcare because of a loss of a job then let us know as we have 60 days to restart healthcare using this program or you are stuck waiting until the next enrollment period. Some plans have more use than others so do not hesitate to ask questions. Part of our job is to help you understand your healthcare so it is available for use.

Filling in the Gaps. There is not one plan that takes care of everyone's needs. What if you have a high deductible and don't have the money to cover treatment costs? If this is a concern then talk with Suzie about a Hospital Plan. We have a similar program for Accidents that has been working well for years.

What if you are afraid of being one of the 1600 and want your family to keep going then get a life plan. We use an exchange that allows a person to shop and we are more than glad to answer questions to get your family set up. Put a plan into place and if you are healthy some plans have options of skipping the nurses exam so less people in contact.

So stay home and stay healthy. Give us a call or message us and we will call you to take care of your insurance needs.
