Washington Healthplan Finder's Full Service Enrollment Centers.

What if you could walk into an office and get your questions answered about Healthcare at no cost? It's not complex most companies has someone that does Human Resources. They enroll you in healthcare, have the occasional survey to fill out and remind you to turn in documents. If this personal HR office was not connected to a workplace then it would have to be in a safe place, hold regular hours, easy access and not charge extra fees.

In 2016 the Washington Health Plan Finder launched nine store fronts with that idea. The majority were located on the Westside. Suzie Health Solutions jumped at the opportunity. We started this entire thing because a client asked us how healthcare would effect them. We thought we would be a good fit and the Washington Health Plan Finder selected us to run Suzie Health Solutions in Wenatchee.

In 2018 the Washington Health Plan Finder expanded the model into Full Service Enrollment Centers. There are only 10 locations with ours located in Wenatchee. Every employee had to undergo a rigorous back ground check. Not only did Data have to be stored securely, it had to be backed up with an large insurance policy. Not content with the basic coverage our office added a onsite security system. We do not hire temporary employees and when you call in you are always talking to a licenced broker than can answer your questions.

In 2019 the Washington Health Plan Finder continued the model of the Full Service Enrollment Centers. We always recommend selecting a no charge broker from one of these sites. The 30 seconds that it takes secures you additional customer service if you ever need it in the future with out costing you a dime. At Suzie Health Solutions, we have:

  1. Raul Martinez
  2. Matt McColm
  3. Suzie McColm
We have always added additional services for our clients. The first year we added individual vision plans and individual dental. We added on Medicare and Supplemental policies. We brought on a Life Insurance and Long Term Insurance Exchange. We are easily found on Facebook and the Internet. We really have become a community based human resource department that everyone can come and get solutions.

To clear up some confusion. Brokers are the small business component. No charge brokers only receive funds from Insurance companies that they are affiliated with. There are brokers out there that do add fees, they have to do that because of reduced commissions and need to keep the lights on. They can enroll people into Apple Health and prior to the ACA received funds for assisting Medicaid people. Some states have required insurance companies to pay a commission on plans sold through the exchange so that people always have access to assistance.

The last that we checked. The Washington Healthplan Finder receives funds from DSHS for managing Apple health and from the private companies for use of their exchange. The Washington Healthplan Finder pays Lead Organizations from those funds. The lead organizations then pay large corporations funds based on the amount of people they help. A navigator is attached to a large corporation and is paid an hourly rate.

We have recommended always selecting a no charge broker because:
  1. If there is a commission then it goes back into your community.
  2. It builds out local resources where your neighbors can go and get help.
  3. Not only do you get help in understanding the plans, a broker can make recommendations where a navigator can not.

This year we set an Calendar program up. You can grab your calendar, look at the program and select a time that works for you. We wanted to eliminate those awkward phone tag sessions of setting appoints. Your time is valuable and you have the freedom to pick over the phone or in person. It will even send text and email reminders to you.
