Tips for 2020 Open Enrollment Washington State

After six years of helping thousands of people get healthcare, we have seen a few things. I am currently running the full service enrollment center in Wenatchee. It's where we answer questions and enroll people in healthcare at no cost to them. Look if you have an account on the Washington Healthplan Finder then please keep it current. Reading your mail and paying your taxes solves the basic difficulties with the program. Here are the big tips:

  1. Put the mobile app on your phone so you can check easily check your account and get messages. The user name and passwords are the same as the desktop version.
  2. Select a no charge broker to get your questions answered. This is maximum service for minim dollars. Some of us throw out tips on facebook and if you don't get help directly, your neighbor does.
  3. Right off the bat if you have Apple Health Dental then use the heck out of it. You get cleanings every year, basic restorative fillings, some root canals and dentures. More people qualify for Apple Health or their children do than they realize. For kids, then they can get braces if it is medical necessity. My son is doing this program and it helps our family budget tremendously. To find an Dentist that takes it, use the search engine. When you call double check that they are still taking Apple Health patients.
  4. If you need help with organizing your application then give us a call. We would rather spend five minutes before open enrollment than 20 minutes during.
  5. If you want an appointment so that you are not waiting around use the calendar app. Yes, we take phone appointments.
  6. Open Enrollment runs November 1st through December 15th. When it closes it is harder to get insurance as you need a documented reason. Our first person last year that discovered this was before Christmas. Even if you don't qualify for a special enrollment update your account and if you qualify for Apple Health then you will have healthcare immediately. Do not wait.

For 2020 Open Enrollment, The Washington Health Benefit Exchange Board has approved the plans. We are looking at an average decrease in the exchange market of 3.27% Since you had a birthday, and not all plans lowered in rates you may not have the best bargain if you stick to the same plan.

  • BridgeSpan Health Company
  • Coordinated Care Corporation
  • Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest
  • Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington
  • LifeWise Health Plan of Washington
  • Molina Healthcare of Washington
  • PacificSource Health Plans**
  • Premera Blue Cross
  • Providence Health Plan**

There are some big changes for 2020. 96% of the Exchange consumers will have a choice of two or more insurance companies! Lifewise expanded into 33 counties across the state. We are talking 66 qualified health plans and 7 qualified dental plans. With 1 in 4 Washington citizens using the Healthplan finder to manage their healthcare means there will be a large demand during open enrollment.

Whether it is picking apples for the season, working the slopes at mission ridge, to being a contractor at a server farm it is easy to fall into a gig career path. About a third of the American workforce has found themselves bouncing from short term job to short term job. While the pay can be good temporary, what about the long term? A policy for everyone When was the last time that you met someone that retired after working from the same job for 40 years? On average, you will change jobs times 12 times in your lifetime. What happens if the next company doesn't offer a plan? We have seen companies terminate life insurance policies for retirees. Do really want to leave your family high and dry for a short term job? What happens when you die? Your bills don't go away . A majority of adults say a fu

Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Drug Plans from a local office.

We do a lot of work with the Washington Healthplanfinder as an Enrollment Center for Healthcare. Seriously, we are open year round answering questions and enrolling people in healthcare. When Suzie first started transitioning from being a Pharmacy Technician, she wanted to lead helping Medicare Individuals with their plans.  Yes, we assist people with Medicare. We stock materials Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Drug plans so that we can help with questions at our office in Wenatchee for your initial enrollment. Most people can enroll into Medicare plans 3 months before their 65 th Birthday, the month of and 3 months after their Birthday. Folks also can delay enrollment if they are covered by   plan through work. We can do a lot over the phone however sometimes there is nothing like having a complete enrollment packet in your fingertips. We like to take the time to do it correctly and it is not a problem to answer questions through the year. The best part is that we can as
